MUNGO EATS Latin America

We are in the “youth hostel” this evening.  Luckily we are not the oldest “youth” in the place.  The kids seem to be enjoying themselves.  The only difficult part is cooking around 6 or  7 other people for supper.  We should be here for 4 or 5 more nights. 

Today’s BIG task was to secure some airline tickets to Cartegena.  There were really 2 choices.  There is a low budget airline that sells very cheap flights.  There are 2 problems with their service though.  Firstly, they will not fly Mungo, so we briefly considered 3 people going with the cheapo airline, and one person going with Mungo on the more expensive airline.  The second problem though, is that the fly at midnight.  Then we get to a new city, on a new continent, with 2 grumpy children and one grumpy dog at midnight and need to find a place to stay.  Yeah, I think we will splurge for the more expensive flights, that leave at a civilized 1pm, getting us to Cartegena at 2pm.  Much better!!!  Now our only hurdle regarding the flight is that we have to find a kennel to STUFF Mungo into.  Can’t exactly use the cloth, portable kennel. 

So, I am pretty sure  we have reservations to fly out of North America at 1pm on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 13!!!   Scary!!  Luckily I am Italian and 13 is lucky in Italy!!  It sucks  to be Anglo Kevin!!
